RESIDENTIAL LIMITED WARRANTY

CHATEAU COLLECTION ENGINEERED PLANK FLOORING
LIFETIME FINISH WARRANTY
Manufacturer warrants that under normal residential conditions and with proper maintenance, the finish will be warranted for wear through for life provided the floor has been installed and maintained in accordance with the instructions.
Gloss reduction and wear is not considered wear-through and is not covered under this warranty. Gloss reduction and wear can be easily repaired by applying a coat of maintenance paste. Finish must be cleaned, treated and maintained with WOCA products in order for warranty to be valid. If the finish is not maintained in compliance with the recommended care and maintenance guidelines warranty will become void. Oil finished floors require special attention and maintenance products. STRUCTURAL & MANUFACTURING DEFECT WARRANTY
Chateau Collection carries a one year warranty against any failure or malfunction that is a result of a manufacturing defect or structural failure. This warranty is void if the floor fails as a result of any misuse, incorrect installation, or installation in an improper area or application. Please refer to the RESIDENTIAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS for details. Structural warranty by Bosen Hardwood.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
Warranty exclusions include, but are not limited to:
- Chateau Collection is distressed by hand, so the distressing will be unique to every board. Variance in distressing level is not considered a defect. Note: Expect to see variations in color, grain, character (including knots), levels of distressing, amounts of black accent, and scraping, from plank to plank and sample to sample.
- Wood has natural characteristics including but not limited to mineral streaks, knots, and grain variations. Such natural characteristics are not considered defects and are not covered under this warranty.
- Damages arising from accidents, abuse, abnormal wear, or damages arising from furniture, spiked or stiletto heels, indentations, scratches, water saturation, exposure to extreme heat, dryness, chemical or industrial products.
- Negligence in maintaining a normal indoor humidity level throughout the year to minimize the natural expansion and contraction of the wood flooring.
- Color changes due to direct and indirect sunlight or other ultraviolet light exposure.
- Damages due to excessive ground moisture caused by natural weather conditions including but not limited to excessive rainfall, hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding or other natural disasters.
- Damages due to earthquake or other shifting of the ground.
- Incidental or consequential costs associated with any repair or replacement of damaged Chateau Collection flooring product.
- Insect infestation after the product has left the Manufacturer.
- Indentations (dents), scratches or stains.
- Damages that occur from any contact with moisture.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Wear through is defined as an area of one square inch where the finish is removed exposing bare wood.
- This warranty is provided to the original purchaser only and is non transferable.
- An original sales receipt must be provided with the date of purchase, retailers name, product identification, and quantity clearly stated.
- Installation must be according to the recommended procedure found in RESIDENTIAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.
- Proper care and maintenance must be followed according to the FLOOR CARE AND MAINTENANCE instructions.
- Manufacturer / distributor shall be allowed to arrange inspection of products claimed to be defective. No warranty claim will be accepted until inspection is complete and cause of problem is determined.
- The liability of manufacturer under this warranty shall be limited to the cost of material only. Manufacturer/distributor shall not be obligated to pay for installation or other related labor costs.
- Manufacturer at its sole discretion may provide materials to replace defective products only; or pay the equivalent cost of replacement material of a comparable product.
- The manufacturer expressly disclaims any other warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. It is the Buyer's responsibility to determine the suitability of the product for the intended use and purpose, and the Buyer assumes all risk and liability whatsoever regarding such suitability. These warranties give you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
- Under no circumstances shall the manufacturer / distributor be liable for any loss or damage associated with special, indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
- No installer, retailer, agent or employee of the manufacturer or distributor has the authority to increase or alter the obligations or limitations of this warranty.
- In the event of litigation, all controversies shall be submitted to American Arbitration Association. Venue shall be the County of Los Angeles, State of California.
